This Saturday, many DI members will be volunteering to assist in the 6th Annual World Refugee Day Cup—an event that seeks to:

“Improve the lives of refugees in Greater-Cincinnati, to foster community acceptance and inclusion, and to construct a sustainable support system that empowers new Americans on a path to self-sufficiency.”

In particular, we’ll be assisting with the kids activities by creating community art projects, signs, posters, and maybe even some small-scale tifo, banners, or two-poles in support of FCC, local soccer, etc. We’ll also help with soccer activities for kids and work alongside the Cincinnati Dutch Lions!

Come join us! Volunteer shifts are available from 10 am to noon, as well as, from noon to 2 PM on Saturday June 22, 2019 at Xavier University Soccer Stadium.

Start your day off right by supporting local soccer and community before heading to Mecklenburg and that evening’s match at Nippert.

If you have any particular skills you would like to offer, those positions are available as well (such as interpreter or photographer). If you’d like to stay later or arrive earlier to help out more than the 10-2 time slots, you’re more than welcome to do so! Any help is appreciated to bring this event together!
